You Are My Witnesses: General Synod 2016

The General Synod of the Anglican Church of Canada will meet from July 7- 12 2016 in the Diocese of Toronto. In its triennial meeting, General Synod will have before it a number of Memorials, or motions, for consideration. 

Our Primate, Fred Hiltz has asked for prayers for the work of the Synod and invites parishes from every corner of the country to make a dedicated effort to hold those who are going on our behalf, and the leadership of the church in prayer. Archbishop Hiltz has provided the following prayer for use in preparation before and during General Synod:

PRAYER FOR GENERAL SYNOD

You call your Church to witness that you were in Christ, reconciling all things to yourself:

So bind us together in love and obedience to you, that the beauty of our lives, the truth of our words, and the justice of our deeds may draw all people to you;

Through him who gave himself for us and now lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, now and forever.
