Homelessness Awareness Week

October was Homeless Awareness month. We decorated the altar with donations of items for our Neighbourhood Ministry to the Homeless. It's amazing how a collection of sleeping bags, socks, underwear, warm jackets, and sweatshirts was transformed into something beautiful by our altar guild.

On Sunday October 22 we had special activities in recognition of Homelessness Awareness Week, including a visit from Rev. Pittman Potter and a moving skit created and performed by members of our Neighbourhood Ministry. A simple soup lunch after the service raised over $100. Thanks—you are helping to change lives in our neighbourhood.
